"Mission To Mordor" - by Lance Russwurm, acrylic on canvas

This painting was done after I saw a picture in National Geographic showing smoke from burning oil wells in Iraq - taken from space. The ecological damage must have been horrendous! This work hung in a show at the National Aviation Museum in Ottawa for a year. The theme was "Canadian Peacekeeping Missions"
