"TH&B HUDSON"
Another painting of a favourite subject of mine.....steam era trains. The Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo Railway was a bridge line based in Hamilton Ontario. Major shareholders were The New York Central and Canadian Pacific, both of whom had trackage rights over the TH&B rail. This line is beloved by model railroaders both because it was an underdog, and because they ran equipment from both their parent lines. Two ex NYC Hudsons were acquired by the railway in 1948. These locomotives had been built by ALCO on 1929, and were the type previously used to power the famous "Twentieth Century Limited" Also shown is one of the uniquely styled TH&B cabooses. |
