"Braids" by Lance Russwurm An original woodburning © 1988..private collection For many years I made my living by creating and selling woodburnings in the tourist town of St. Jacobs, Ontario. Mennonite and rural scenes were bestsellers. In those years, I think I was the only photo-realist artist in the world working in that medium. This picture is of two Amish girls from the Milverton, Ontario area. My reference was a photo by David L. Hunsberger taken in the fifties. |
