On a lovely day in late September, 1988, untold memories took wing over Hamilton, Ontario, as the Canadian Warplane Heritage's beautifully restored Lancaster MkX, escorted by a Hurricane and a  Spitfire, made its first flight in twenty-five years. (The Hurricane was the one that was sadly later destroyed in a fire, before the museum located in the beautiful new building it occupies today)
